Our management has focused on enhancing competencies and performance through the use of new tools and new approaches. The ECHOS position and employee assessment system is being extended to new countries, including the United Kingdom, Sweden, Ireland, Portugal and Mexico.
Moreover, we have launched a job-mapping and highly innovative Sherpa-managed international training cycle. We have also introduced annual professional assessment interviews into all our business units.
Our employment policy is in keeping with the French model driven by the "Veolia Compétences" operation: we hired 650 employees after completion of training under either an apprenticeship or professionalization contract or through workplace assessment. Coaching is once again in demand, as a result of tutor recognition and training.
Social engineering (tools/techniques to solve social problems) is considered one of Dalkia's distinctive competitive advantages. It is now an important component of major development projects in which communication, training and a flexible and innovative approach to manage our people are essential.
All these advances are a sign of the high level of Human Resources involvement and HR's central role in Dalkia's growth.
