Their joint research will focus, among other topics, on the technological process for biomass-coal co-combustion and the treatment of associated pollutants. Research results from the scientific exchanges will be applied to real technology projects. The partners plan joint tours, scientific gatherings and intern and personnel exchanges. A Monitoring Committee made up of representatives from each party will be appointed and will implement detailed contracts to support the practical application of research findings. The Committee will also be invited to attend presentations of dissertations prepared under the partnership.
Those present for the contract's signing included Technical University of Lodz's President Professor Stanisław Bielecki, its Vice-Provost for Instruction Dr. Krzysztof Jóźwik, Dalkia Polska's CEO Pascal Bonne, Dalkia Lodz's CEO Jacky Lacombe and two CREED representatives, François Nicol and Jean-Michel Brossard. The letter of intent was signed after a work meeting attended by representatives of the various parties to the contract.
