Spotlight:
In the paper industry, steam is particularly important during the pulp cooking, drying and bleaching stages, as well as in the black and white liquor regeneration cycle. Arjowiggins, the world's largest manufacturer of creative and technical papers, chose Dalkia to build and operate a CHP unit and provide steam for its Wizernes plant in northern France.
In operating the plant, which will supply 340,000 tonnes of steam a year, Dalkia will be responsible for fuel procurement, energy conversion and facility management and maintenance.
