Dalkia is a key player in the control of energy demand, reduction of polluting emissions and greenhouse effect gases and the development of renewable energies, and optimizes energy used by its customers, town councils, industry and the tertiary sectors.

The combat against greenhouse effect gas emissions responsible for global warming has become a priority challenge for our planet. All political and economic decision makers are looking for efficient solutions shared by everyone, within international agreements (the Poznan conference in 2008 and the Copenhagen conference in 2009) and by setting up local recovery plans based on production modes kinder to our environment.

• optimised management of the production tool to achieve substantial energy savings through better energy efficiency;
• apart from making good use of available resources, the use of renewable energies significantly reduces our dependence on fossil fuels and the volume of polluting emissions;
• the implementation of new solutions such as cogeneration or the use of unavoidable energy (heat originating from industry or from incineration);
• the optimization of energy consumptions (comprehensive building management, control of installations).

Finally, the control of environmental impacts is an essential part of sustainable development. Dalkia makes an active contribution by deploying methods and means of controlling energy consumption, reducing losses and optimizing the efficiency of installations and emissions from them.
Achieving CO2 savings and technological innovations (optimizing efficiencies, energy culture, unavoidable energy, etc.) also participate in limiting impacts on the environment.
